Prototype Rock River One

Available in small quantities in late 2009, this was the first market offering from Rock River Rods. The taper and action for today's Rock River One rod were present in this design but the finish quality and components have been upgraded for the current product.

Rock River Rods Mako

The first reel we ever offered. A remake of the classic 1920's Vom Hofe style reel, this beauty ultimately offered far more form than function. It was discontinued in late 2010.
Rock River Rods Beaver

Handcrafted from fine Tonkin cane, the Beaver first was offered in late 2010. The 7'6" 4wt with a Payne 100 taper offers a graceful full flex and unmatched casting precision. It takes a little getting used to, but all of the time spent fishing bamboo rods to settle on this length, weight, and taper really opened our eyes to the idea that the "purists" who fish bamboo every day might actually be onto something. These rods are still available on an extremely limited basis. If you're interested in one you can e-mail Todd Carroll - toddwcarroll@gmail.com - to see if any are available.
